COMPANY PROFILE

Kiasi Productions Limited is a multimedia audiovisual production and distribution company founded by Esther and Samuel Tebandeke. It is a private limited company incorporated in Uganda in November 2020. The company exists to develop, produce and distribute Afrocentric content that showcases stories from creators of African descent on the continent and the Diaspora.
The company has also a keen focus in developing capacity building initiatives to further support the infrastructural development of the creative sector on the African continent. Training programmes for content creators of all ages on content development, production, marketing and distribution.

TEAM

Samuel Tebandeke – Chief Executive Officer – A content producer and entrepreneur. Alumnus of the MNET TV writers’ workshop (2009) and Maisha Film Lab (2008 & 2009). His short film, Another Beautiful Day (2017) screened at the Durban International Film Festival 2019. His directorial debut on Ten O’clock, a short film screened in competition at the Afrika Filmfestival, Belgium. He is set to direct his debut feature film in 2022.

Esteri Tebandeke – Chief Content Officer – A filmmaker, actress, storyteller and visual artist. Since 2008 she’s been performing in a variety of theatre and film productions in Uganda and around the world. Her most notable film work was on Queen of Katwe, starring Academy Award winning actress Lupita Nyong’o. Esteri directed her first short film, Little Black Dress and continues to develop other film and TV projects.
