Kiasi TV is a multi-format streaming platform for short form video and audio content with the aim of providing content creators and producers with a platform that enable them to harness the full potential of their abilities as creative professionals as well as giving them the chance to build audiences for their work.

The content creation space has received increasing attention in the past 5 years and this has been thanks to the proliferation of lower cost smartphone and content making equipment, increasing internet penetration and the associated lowering costs of data. As a result short form content online has exploded and Africa has not been left behind.

PAYMENT
STRUCTURE
At Kiasi, we apply a revenue sharing system called RPM or Revenue Per Minute which pays content owners for every minute their content is consumed.
Every month, we set aside 60% of Kiasi’s net subscription revenue (after transaction and platform hosting fees) for content owners. That revenue divided by the total number of minutes consumed for all the content on te platform, determines the RPM. This is then applied to each piece of content to determine payout amount.
Each content owner is then paid provided a minimum threshold of US$30 is met each quarter. If this threshold is not met, then the quarterly revenue for that content owner is rolled over to the next payment cycle.
